Large EMG patches are used in experiments to record muscle electrical activity to study motor control, fatigue, and interface with robotics. Surface electrodes are commonly used on the skin for non-invasive recordings of biceps or forearm muscles, while needle electrodes are used in clinical settings for deeper muscle tissue analysis.
